Job Title: Director/Sr. Director Business Development and International Operations
Department: Business Development, International Operations
Reports To: CEO
FLSA Status: Exempt
Summary: Provide overall global strategic and tactical direction in business development activities to identify new product or market opportunities relating to Suneva Medicals aesthetic business line. Manage Artefills international partnership and licensing efforts.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Identify and evaluate opportunities to determine technical merit, market and commercial potential, financial feasibility and competitive analysis, and fit with Sunevas strategic plan.
Develop and present market, financial models and business analyses to support recommendation related to each opportunity.
Participate in the structure, negotiation and successfully conclusion of transactions including licensing, distribution, co-promotions, joint ventures, OEM and acquisitions.
Develop plans and coordinate with R&D Engineering, Sales & Marketing and Operations to ensure successful integration of product and/or opportunity.
Maintain expertise in relevant markets and technologies; build close contacts with third parties (commercial, medical and academic) active in the aesthetics field.
Participate in industry and technical symposia, stay abreast of clinical and market research in order to monitor relevant technical, medical, regulatory and competitive developments and trends with patients and physicians.
Identify foreign distribution partners.
Negotiation and manage distribution with ex-U.S. Aesthetic distribution companies.
Manage and conduct alliance management activities.
Supervisory Responsibilities
This position has no direct supervisory responsibilities at this time.
Budgetary/Policy Responsibility
Provides management for at least one functional area, including budgetary responsibility.
Sets and upholds policy for functional area.
Planning Responsibility
Establishes and implements short and long-term functional goals, objectives, policies and operating procedures in line with corporate objectives.
Qualifications

Skills, Knowledge & Abilities
Financial modeling, valuation and competitive analysis skills.
Ability to apply technical and business knowledge and think strategically in
assessing and pursuing new business and new product opportunities.
Understanding of aesthetic markets.
Understanding of Medical Devices.
Strong interpersonal, communication and presentation skills.
Commercialization of medical devices and direct sales process.
Education and/or Experience
MBA required, with technical undergraduate degree preferred with 5-7 years business development and licensing experience.
Extensive commercial transaction experience. Proven track record of identifying, structuring, and negotiating commercial and late development stage deals.
Prior marketing or direct selling experiences highly desired.
Medical device experience.
Other Skills
Ability to write, read, analyze, and interpret business periodicals, technical procedures, or professional reports.
Ability to write/develop presentations, reports, correspondence, and procedures.
Ability to effectively present information and concepts, respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference. Experience with P/L forecasting and valuation analysis.
Computer Skills
Advanced technological proficiency for use of the personal computer, Internet savvy, familiarity with graphics programs and processes.
Strong proficiency with Excel and PowerPoint.
